HEYL – a medium sized, independent family business – is engaged in antidotes for 50 years. These drugs increase the excretion of toxic heavy metals (like arsenic or arsenic containing warfare agents, copper, lead, mercury) or radionuclides (like plutonium, americium or radiocesium) from the body. A fast use of the antidotes can save the life of the patients and protect them from lasting damages. In addition, an early beginning of the therapy shortens the duration of the treatment and can reduce the costs. Therefore different countries have stockpiled our antidotes for CBRN emergency cases.
